ABOUT LOGIFRAMEComparison
QuickBooks Online Advanced is Intuit's top single-company plan. Intuit Enterprise Suite sits above it, built for businesses with several entities, intercompany activity and reporting by project or location. The deciding question is how your business is structured, and revenue alone rarely answers it.
What differs
| QuickBooks Online Advanced | Intuit Enterprise Suite | |
|---|---|---|
| Entities | One company per subscription | Several entities in one environment |
| Group reporting | Assembled outside the product | Consolidated statements built in |
| Intercompany | Entered in each file separately | Recorded across entities, with both sides kept in step |
| Reporting structure | Classes and locations | Dimensions for department, project, location and more |
| Projects | Project tracking | Project profitability, with construction job costing |
| Pricing | Published monthly price | Quoted by Intuit |
Both run QuickBooks Workforce for payroll and HR, and both connect to the QuickBooks app ecosystem.
Signals
Any two of these usually mean the business has outgrown separate QuickBooks Online files.
The other side
A single company, even a fast-growing one, is usually well served by QuickBooks Online Advanced. So is a group with two entities and little activity between them, where the consolidation takes an hour. Moving to Enterprise Suite adds cost and a migration, and those need a structural problem to solve.
If the real problem is a file that is behind or wrong, a new product will not fix it. Catch-up and clean-up comes first, whichever product follows.
Migration
Intuit carries charts of accounts, classes and vendor lists across. The preparation decides whether the first consolidation is right.
Stage 1
Every entity reconciled, holding accounts cleared.
Stage 2
One chart of accounts and one dimension design for the group.
Stage 3
Balances between entities matched at the cutover date.
Stage 4
Each entity agreed to its source file, then the first consolidation reviewed.
Our position
Ten members of our team hold Intuit Enterprise Suite certification, and ten hold QuickBooks Online Level 1 and Level 2 certification. We run the monthly close in both, so the recommendation follows your structure. Our Intuit Enterprise Suite page covers how we run a multi-entity close.
